Chinese Researchers in Major Universities Greatly Benefit From Enago’s Author Education Program

Beijing, China: Over the last decade, China has been continuously increasing their expenditure in scientific research and development. These actions are actively promoted and supported by the government through a number of programs and initiatives, thereby, increasing the overall research output in China. In line with these developments, Enago has also doubled down on its author outreach efforts. As part of this outreach, Enago in collaboration with Central South University, Beijing Normal University, Shandong University, and Dalian University of Technology organized a series of author training sessions for researchers and young graduates.

The workshops were conducted by Dr. Mingfang Lu, General Manager, Enago, who is an established publishing expert with over 20 years of experience. The sessions covered a few crucial topics for ESL researchers and authors. These included the importance of publishing in the English language, pain-points faced by authors in getting published in international journals, responding to reviewers, and a deeper understanding of the importance of research and publication ethics. Furthermore, Dr. Lu interacted with the workshop audience through Q&A sessions.

Professor Jie Li from Dalian University of Technology said, “Professor Lu has given an in-depth and very good talk on how to write and publish a research paper, which is very helpful to our graduate students.”

The spokesperson from Shandong University mentioned, “In the report, Professor Mingfang Lu highlighted the main points of writing papers and submissions, how to respond to journal editors and reviewers, scientific research and publishing ethics, and open access policies. At the same time, he also shared with us the unique insights and practices of Enago Academy in academic publishing. The teachers and students listened carefully and benefited a lot.”
