Fundamentals of Writing Scientific and Medical Research Papers

Session Agenda

For preparing a strong manuscript that presents the right amount of information comprehensively and in the appropriate order, a well-planned strategy is a prerequisite. Furthermore, researchers also need to organize the collected data methodically and present them sequentially. In the previous sessions, we shared an overview of the publishing landscape in medicine and shared tips on how researchers can avoid common pitfalls while conducting and communicating their research study. This session, conducted in collaboration with the Future Science Group, guides researchers to draft an error-free manuscript ready for submission in top-ranking journals.

Researchers will learn:

  • Overview of biomedical publishing
  • Organizing the structure of a manuscript
  • Adding relevant references and citations
  • Effective presentation of data
  • Following journal guidelines for successful manuscript submission
