Enago’s Author Workshop Series Receives Overwhelming Response From Korean Researchers
Pohang/Seoul, South Korea: With >200 participants attending our sessions, Enago successful conducted yet another series of author workshops at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) and Yonsei University. By collaborating with these well-established universities Enago was able to assist Korean researchers by helping them overcome their challenges in getting published in international peer-reviewed journals.
Enago’s sessions were conducted by Dr Eun S. Hwang (Publication & Training Consultant, Enago) who is associated with University of Seoul as well as esteemed academic societies such as Korean Council of Science Editors and Council of Asian Science Editors. Through our sessions, Enago addressed the key challenges for ESL such as how manuscript should be written, journals should be selected, as well as adhere to the requirements of international journals. Based on his experience of 25+ years, Dr Hwang shared some useful tips on how to structure manuscript effectively, properly acknowledge resources used, and avoid plagiarism. The sessions were followed by Q&A session and one-to-one interaction during which Dr. Hwang addressed the participants’ queries.
The spokesperson for Enago’s Korea office mentioned “These sessions were targeted at students of the master’s course who have very less experience for writing academic papers. The sessions helped students understand basic concepts through specific examples, which made it easier for students. The attendees were extremely glad that the seminar focused on writing skills for publication in international journals.”
