Google Releases 2024 Scholar Metrics, Evaluates Impact of Scholarly Articles

Google has released its 2024 Scholar Metrics, assessing scholarly articles from 2019 to 2023. This edition includes citations from all articles indexed in Google Scholar as of July 2024.

Inclusion Criteria

Scholar Metrics includes journals that adhere to Scholar Metric’s inclusion guidelines and selected conferences in Engineering & Computer Science. Publications with fewer than 100 articles or those receiving no citations during 2019 to 2023 are excluded from the metrics. The top 20 publications are ranked based on their five-year h-index and h-median metrics.

Researchers can explore publications across diverse fields by searching specific category. Many categories like Ocean & Marine Engineering, Drama & Theatre Arts, and Forests & Forestry are available.

Multilingual Access

Scholar Metrics offers access to the top 100 publications in various languages, including Portuguese and Spanish.

Search Beyond Categories

For a broader search, users can type keywords from publication titles in the search box. Selection of the keywords is easy as it covers wide range of topics. Users can search individual publications and explore their top papers by clicking on the h5-index.
