Enago takes on an extensive project of editing a Math research paper on a PDF file.
Project Summary
- Client: A Professor from a University in China
- Service: Substantive Editing
- Volume: 5662 words
The Client
A professor from a leading research university in China approached Enago to get his research paper on Mathematics edited. He requested that we share timely notifications about all the edits we make to his files. He also asked for an editor who could directly edit the files in Portable Document Format (PDF) without converting it into a word file.
The Enago Solution
-
Changing the software
The client requested the editor to make edits in the PDF file. The standard procedure at Enago is to edit manuscripts on the Microsoft Word software. The only way to edit a PDF document is to use the Adobe software which is time-consuming and requires more effort. However, to accommodate the client’s request, we went the extra mile and delivered the manuscript as the client requested. -
Introducing a tracker
The client requested that we track and share all the changes made to the manuscript. To meet this requirement, we used strikethroughs to highlight content that was deleted and left comments where we edited the text.
Outcome
Enago’s editor successfully proofread and edited the manuscript on Adobe in 6 days and the professor was happy with Enago’s exceptional work and service.
Praises from the Professor
I am very impressed and truly grateful for the wonderful service I received from Enago. The CS team and editors were prompt in their response and work and went out of their way to make adjustments for my project. I look forward to collaborating with Enago for my future projects as well.
