The Client

A Singaporean professor and author had written a book for his research program. The book covered chapters on multiple subject areas. He reached out to Enago to ensure that his book was grammatically correct, used the correct technical terminology and was consistently written. Enago offered to bundle the copy editing and proofreading services for special pricing.

A sample editing was provided to him, on his request, before he agreed to work with us. He requested that Enago edits the chapters while he was simultaneously trying to complete his work on the book too. Hence, he sent us the first batch he completed and sent us the following batches as and when he was done with the same. Also, he requested that chapters based on the same subject area should be handled by a single editor only. He gave us an explicit deadline of a month’s time to finish editing his book.

Selecting the right editor
The book had chapters on a number of different subject areas and Enago had to select more than 5 editors for a single book. Enago offered samples for each subject area and the author picked the right ones for his project.
Working in batches
When the author reached out to Enago, he hadn’t completed writing his book. He suggested that he would send a chapter as and when he completes it and Enago should begin with the proofreading and copy editing work. The catch was that the book had chapters on a number of different subject areas and the author wasn’t sure which he’ll pick next. This meant that Enago had to book the time of a bunch of different editors in advance for the entire project.
